Adding a motor and battery to your bicycle is a great way to expand your freedom by allowing you to ride further and faster with less effort. However, adding the additional weight and torque creates special demands on the components of the bike which you should think about upgrading.
Going faster is certainly fun, but at some point, you're going need to stop. We recommend Tektro Dorado hydraulic disc brakes for the front and rear wheels. These come with large 180 mm and 203 mm rotors for additional stopping power. The hydraulic system ensures a crisp, modulated feel every time you pull the brake lever. And they both come with cut off wires so power to the motor is immediately cut when you squeeze the brakes.
