Rebuilding Your Battery: Service Process

For guaranteed quality and safety we only use certified grade-A energy cells from the industry's top name brand manufacturers.  If your battery was originally equipped with other (smaller, low quality) cells, it may be that the current residual charge no longer exactly matches the value that you see on the display. With many batteries, the residual charge is displayed with 'blocks' or LEDs. Usually this indication becomes more accurate as the battery goes through more charge cycles (when new), but as your battery wears down near end-life, this gauge will become inaccurate and can lead consumers to believe the battery is still fine, when in fact it is reaching end-life.

  • How To Place An Order For Refurbishment Of Your Battery

You can call us, send us an email, or browse our website to search for the correct battery model and desired capacity upgrade for your pack.

The first step would be searching for your battery brand via the search bar up top. When you have found the battery or brand in the overview, click on the product to proceed to the order page. Here you have the option to choose what the new capacity of your worn battery should match or be upgraded to. Give us a call if you are unsure which option is best for you.

  • Battery Intake Process

Next, you'd need to fill out our Battery Service Intake Form. (There's an oval button on our home landing page you can click, or you can scroll down to the bottom of the home page for a link to this PDF form)

Print out the form, and send it along with your e-bike battery, over to our Las Vegas facility. The intake form has a page that gives instructions for shipping, a label you place on your box, and our address.

Additionally, we offer shipping packages that will provide all the materials and labels needed to safely pack and ship your battery to our facility, hassle-free. Inquire with a team member today!

  • EMP Builds A High Quality Battery

A team member will notify you when your battery arrives at our repair center.

Your battery will be put through testing after our intake process. If it turns out that the poor battery performance is due to wear of the pack's cells, our technicians will proceed with rebuilding.

If we find a problem that can be resolved without rebuilding, our team will reach out with your repair options.

EMP then rebuilds your battery quickly with high-quality, name-brand cells and provides your rebuild with a 1-year warranty. Extended warranties are also available!

  • EMP Returns Battery To Customer

After successfully passing our strict QC checks and testing, we will then ship your e-bike battery back to you.

After the repair has been completed and shipped, you will receive tracking information via e-mail.

(Note: We recommend put your newly reconditioned battery through 5-10 cycles before storing it away long-term so the cells reach maximum capacity and top-performance.

**If your rebuilt battery doesn't work due to malfunction of your original OEM circuitry, and there are no other repair options or solutions, your order is fully refundable.**
