Battery Rebuild Service
Most aging e-bike batteries fail because the internal lithium-ion cells lose capacity, become imbalanced, or can no longer support the current demand of the bike. Other common issues include failed battery management systems, damaged charge ports, worn discharge connectors, broken wiring, water intrusion, charger mismatch, and case damage.

Common Faraday Battery Problems

Compatibility Review
Exact voltage, capacity, connector type, charger type, case style, and internal cell layout must be verified from the original battery label, charger label, and battery photos. EMP does not guess missing specifications. Unknown values are intentionally left blank until the battery is reviewed by a technician.
- Send clear photos of the battery label, charger label, charge port, discharge connector, mounting rail, key/lock area, and full battery case.
- Include photos of the bike model area when possible so EMP can understand how the battery mounts to the frame or rack.
- Do not ship a swollen, burnt, leaking, wet, crushed, or physically unsafe battery without contacting EMP first.
- If the original case, BMS, wiring, connector, rail, or charger is damaged, additional repair parts may be required.
How The EMP Rebuild Process Works
- Submit your rebuild request and include battery, charger, connector, and bike photos.
- EMP reviews the information and confirms whether the battery should be shipped in for inspection.
- The battery is opened and evaluated for cell condition, BMS condition, wiring condition, connector condition, and case safety.
- When approved, EMP rebuilds the battery using appropriate replacement cells and compatible repair parts.
- The rebuilt battery is balanced, tested, and returned with service notes and applicable warranty terms.

- The original battery housing is normally required for service.

Important Information
Turnaround times begin once your battery is received and checked into our system.
During high demand periods or for complex builds, timelines may be slightly extended.
Shipping Method
- All batteries are shipped via ground service only (FedEx or UPS) in compliance with DOT and IATA regulations for lithium batteries.
- Expedited air shipping is not available for lithium battery products.
Delivery Time
- Ground shipping typically takes 3–7 business days within the U.S.
- Tracking information will be provided as soon as your order ships.

Returns
- Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unused, unopened batteries.
- For rebuilds and custom packs, all sales are final unless defective.
Important Notes
- Shipping is limited to the continental United States.
- Customers are responsible for providing a valid shipping address — carriers cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes.
- Signature may be required at delivery for higher-value battery orders.
