BionX rear rack battery replacement

AS OF AUGUST 2020, WE ARE NO LONGER REBUILDING BIONX BATTERIES DUE TO A HIGH NUMBER OF FAILURES OF THEIR BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM BOARDS WHICH WE CANNOT REPLACE. WE RECOMMEND CONTACTING OHM CYCLES OR BIONX LEGACY SHOP.

Do you have a BionX e-bike that needs a new battery? Let us rebuild, refurbish, and upgrade your old one! We can swap in fresh, grade A lithium ion cells to get you back on your wheels. We've squeezed in as much as 40V 13Ah in a rear rack case more than doubling the range of the original battery. We can take care of all form factors of BionX e-bike batteries whether it's the rear rack or down tube style.

BionX E-bike battery replacement

Some of these larger downtube, triangular, fin-shaped batteries can hold up to 60 cells, giving them plenty of room to be upgraded to 36V 21Ah.

All of our batteries are warrantied for a full 12 months. All you need to do is fill out our Battery Intake Form and send us the battery, charger, and bike. We'll even recycle your old batteries for you! Don't let a drained battery keep your bike just collecting dust. Give us a call and it'll be going better than new!

BionX E-bike Battery Repair and Upgrade

Due to the nature of the BionX systems, we require the bike in order to validate the rebuild.

Hi! I have the downtube style fun shaped triangular black battery on my Metrofiets bike. I am wondering what the cost of a rebuild would be.

Natalie Ramsland,

@Ian – We will be in touch with our current pricing.

EBike Marketplace,

I have a BionX #01-2090 from a trek bike. How much is the approximate cost to rebuild the battery? Thanks

Ian dodd,

@David – We do not stock new BionX batteries, but we can rebuild existing ones if you send it in to us.

EBike Marketplace,

I’m looking for a repacement for a bion x SL 350 HT RR XL lithium battery

David Trindle,

@Chris – We can rebuild it, just send it to us with our Battery Intake Form linked at the bottom left of the page.

EBike Marketplace,

@Alain – We cannot change the voltage of a battery pack or swap batteries/BMS systems of different voltages.

EBike Marketplace,

I have a BionX battery part# 01-2090. It labeled as a 40.7V/6.4ah/260.48Wh
It needs a rebuild or replaced. It looks like the silver one with read tail light on top of your web site that fits into a rear pannier rack. The charger is part #HP1202L3 rated for charging 40.7 volt battery , output is 45.65 volts at 2 amp.
Thanks Chris G

Chris Gytenbeek,

Good day , having a tired Bionx 24v Nimh
I2c battery and a good shape Bionx 36v Limn canbus battery . In order to use the 36v battery for my original 24v I2c bike can u
install the original I2c 24v battery module in place of the 36v canbus battery module making her a compatible I2c battery for my bike ?
Best regards

Alain,

@Michael – We cannot change the voltage of the battery because this would require changing the proprietary BionX BMS, which we don’t have.

EBike Marketplace,

@Ken – Thanks Ken!

EBike Marketplace,

Quick Bionx battery question. I believe you can run Bionx 36 volt motors with a 48 volt Bionx battery. I want to go the other way around. I have two old dead 36 volt Bionx batteries, and I want to match them with a 48 volt Bionx hub motor. Just use the 36 volt batteries as back-ups. If this works, I’ll have you rebuild the 36 volt batteries. Again, will a 48 volt Bionx hub motor work on rebuilt 36 volt batteries? Thanks.

Michael J O'Donnell,

I have access to BionX battery keys

Ken Sanders ,

@Rolie and @Phil – Please send us your battery with our battery intake form and we’ll help you out!

Rolie Ravensbergen,

I have a 36 volt 3500HT rear rack BionX on my recumbent trike. The battery will no longer accept a charge. I am in Alabama so could I ship the battery to you for a rebuild? What would be the cost?
