The advertised price on this product page is specifically for our 48V 17.5Ah MATE X rebuild. This configuration uses a 65-cell lithium-ion battery assembly built from premium-grade cells.
Batteries requiring additional electrical repairs, replacement components, BMS work, connector repairs, or non-standard modifications may require an additional charge. We will contact you before performing chargeable work outside the standard rebuild.
65 New Premium-Grade Lithium-Ion Cells
The 48V 17.5Ah configuration is built as a 13-series × 5-parallel battery architecture, resulting in a total of 65 individual cells.
We completely replace the aging cell assembly rather than simply replacing a few weak cells. This gives the rebuilt pack a fresh, matched internal cell group designed for dependable everyday e-bike use.
What's Included
All 65 cells in the internal battery assembly are replaced with new premium-grade lithium-ion cells.
We rebuild inside your existing MATE battery enclosure so the original physical fit and mounting arrangement are retained.
Wiring, connectors, contacts and other serviceable battery components are inspected during the rebuild process.
The Battery Management System is inspected and tested. If replacement or additional repair is required, we will contact you.
The rebuilt battery is charged, balanced and performance-tested before being approved for return.
Your battery rebuild is backed by our 1-year rebuild warranty.

MATE has produced different versions and configurations over time. If your battery label, connector, housing or specifications differ, please contact us with clear photos of the battery and its label before ordering.
Important: Send Your Battery AND Charger
Please include your original charger when sending your battery to us. Having the charger allows our technicians to verify charging operation and compatibility as part of the testing process.
You must also complete and include our Battery Service Intake Form .

- You must send us your existing compatible battery housing.
- This advertised price applies to the 48V 17.5Ah / 65-cell rebuild configuration.
- Please include your charger and completed Battery Service Intake Form.
- Damage to the housing, BMS, connectors, wiring or other components outside the standard cell rebuild may require additional repair.
- Actual riding range varies significantly based on rider weight, terrain, temperature, tire pressure, motor power, assist level, speed and riding conditions.

Important Information
Turnaround times begin once your battery is received and checked into our system.
During high demand periods or for complex builds, timelines may be slightly extended.
Shipping Method
- All batteries are shipped via ground service only (FedEx or UPS) in compliance with DOT and IATA regulations for lithium batteries.
- Expedited air shipping is not available for lithium battery products.
Delivery Time
- Ground shipping typically takes 3–7 business days within the U.S.
- Tracking information will be provided as soon as your order ships.

Returns
- Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unused, unopened batteries.
- For rebuilds and custom packs, all sales are final unless defective.

- Shipping is limited to the continental United States.
- Customers are responsible for providing a valid shipping address — carriers cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes.
- Signature may be required at delivery for higher-value battery orders.
