Restore and Upgrade Your Giant Twist Freedom DX E-Bike Battery with E-Bike Marketplace
Is your Giant Twist Freedom DX e-bike not performing like it used to? These dependable bikes were produced between 2008 and 2011, so if your battery isn't holding a charge or you’ve noticed your range shrinking, you’re not alone. After a decade or more, battery degradation is inevitable — but the good news is you don’t need to buy a new bike or even a brand new battery pack.
At E-Bike Marketplace, we specialize in battery rebuilds and upgrades, and we’re here to give your Giant Twist Freedom DX a whole new lease on life!
🔧 Why Is Your Battery Losing Power?
Over time, the lithium-ion cells inside your battery degrade, reducing their ability to hold a charge. Even if the bike and motor are in great shape, a tired battery can make riding frustrating — or impossible. If you’ve noticed:
-
Your bike doesn’t go as far as it used to
-
It takes longer to charge or runs out quickly
-
It cuts out on hills or during longer rides
Then it’s time to rebuild your battery instead of replacing your whole system.
🔋 What Is a Battery Rebuild?
Our battery rebuild service at E-Bike Marketplace gives your old battery pack a second life by replacing the internal cells with fresh, name-brand, grade A lithium-ion cells. Here’s how it works:
1. Send Us Your Battery
Start by filling out our simple Battery Intake Form on our website. Then, ship us your battery and charger.
2. We Evaluate and Contact You
Once we receive your battery, our team inspects it and reaches out to discuss the best options based on your budget and performance goals.
3. We Rebuild Using Top-Quality Cells
We safely recycle the old, degraded cells inside your battery pack and replace them with new cells — from trusted brands like LG, Samsung, Panasonic, and more. In many cases, we’re able to upgrade your battery capacity while keeping the same external case!
4. You Ride Farther Than Ever
We return your rebuilt battery, ready to install and ride. Many of our customers report longer range, better performance, and a smoother ride than they ever got with the original battery.

@Gary – Yes, you can send us just the one battery. UPS or FedEx are our recommended carriers.
I have one Giant twist freedom battery that won’t take a charge. I would like it to be rebuild, but I want to keep the other good battery and charger. Can I send only the bad battery for the rebuild? What carrier do you recommend?

I have 2 9AH batteries identical to the one pictured on your site for a Giant Twist Freedom DX e-bike that I purchased used.
One battery is dead: it gives the steady blinking light on the charger.
The other battery is low: it works but only gives 1-3 AH power before needing to be recharged.
I live in Canada.
Before I ship these to you, can you give me a price range of what the quote is likely to be to rebuild both batteries?
Thanks
@Kym – Yes, we can rebuild a completely drained battery.
Can you rebuild a almost completly drianed wont charge battery?
@Juan – We only do rebuild of existing battery packs, so you would need to send yours in to us. We do not stock new batteries for Giant bikes.

I recently bought a used Giant Twist Freedom DX bicycle. When I tried charging one oof the batteries the charging indicator light flashed rather than stayed steady during the charging process. I assume this means their is some deficiencies in the battery pack. Are you able to correct this problem?
@Pete – Unfortunately, we do not carry parts for these bikes; we only rebuild existing batteries.
