Schwinn Tailwind E-bike Battery Replacement

One of our specialties is being able to replace and repair e-bike batteries that are no longer supported by their manufacturer. Recently, we've had a few Schwinn Tailwind batteries come through the shop and we rebuild them as 24 V 10 Ah batteries using fresh lithium polymer cells to get it running like new again. The Tailwind originally came out in 2009 and had about a 30 mile range with the battery. @Thomas – Most of the time it’s a faulty battery. We can rebuild it for you though. Just send it to us with our Battery Intake Form.

When I plug my battery in, the charger light flashes red for a split second and then reverts to green, failing to charge the battery at all. I am not sure if this is a result of a faulty charger or faulty battery. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you.

Last time I rode the battery went 29 miles as usual. Last charge only lit up 2 lights and only went 8 .5 miles. Schwinn Lithium Ion Polymer Battery (good overall condition). BP-L2410EH2. Would appreciate cost and shipping instructions. Thank You

Hi – I have a battery for a Schwinn World GS Electric bike that does not hold a charge. The battery pack does not say Tailwind, but it looks like the pictures I’ve seen.
It did not get any use for probably 10 years, and I did not keep it topped off. I recharged it recently and it held a charge for a few times, but now seems to not even be charging.
The number on the back is BP-L2410EH2.
I have the same question Jennifer did. How long would it take to hopefully refurbish and what would the cost be.

I need to replace my battery it’s works but the litio it’s not enough ! Do you tell me how much it’s for that ?

@John – We do not have any in stock at the moment. We only get them when a customer sends them in and then doesn’t want it repaired.

@Jennifer – Our turnaround time varies depending on how many batteries get sent in. We’ll be in touch with our current lead times and pricing.
what is the turn around time to rebuild a battery and how much do you charge? I have a tailwind battery.
@Luke – While our 24V charger will technically work, we don’t have the particular plug for the Schwinn Tailwind. If you send the battery in to us, we can test it out and modify the plug as well.
We are looking for a CHARGER … BATTERIES have not been used for (4) years . If we had charger , we could determine if batteries would recharge . If we had to purchase a new battery to get charger , that’s ok . Thanks
